John Antalek, Eyewitness NewsNEWARK, N.J. (WABC) -- Police in New Jersey are searching for a driver who led officers on a high speed chase that ended with a violent crash.
It happened in Newark Friday evening.
Police say the driver crashed into another vehicle that had a mother and her 7-year-old son inside.
The boy was thrown from the vehicle but survived.The suspect escaped on foot.
