Elizabeth Fire Chief Thomas McNamara tells The Star-Ledger (http://bit.ly/u2xBVK ) that about one-third of the five-story, 2 million-square foot building was damaged. But the rest was unaffected in the chemical-fueled blaze.
He says the insurance company is debating whether to demolish the building in an historic industrial area. The fire has been burning since last week, but firefighters say it's now under control. It's not clear when it can be put out entirely.PHOTO GALLERY: PHOTOS FROM THE AREA SURROUNDING THE FIRE
