Burglar hits Paterson mayor's home

AP  Eyewitness NewsPATERSON -- Authorities are trying to find the person who broke into the home of Paterson Mayor Jeffrey Jones.

Jones wasn't home at the time of Monday's heist. But his 76-year-old mother-in-law was.

No one was injured.

The mayor found the rear door broken and the home ransacked.

Jones tells The Record newspaper he's heartbroken his Marine Corps ring had been stolen.
