Inbound buses resume route through Lincoln Tunnel

See it on TV? Check here.  Eyewitness NewsNEW YORK (WABC) -- An overturned tractor-trailer on the outbound helix of the Lincoln Tunnel created a traffic nightmare Wednesday morning.

The accident and resulting fuel spill shut down the inbound express bus lane, and the MTA is cross-honoring tickets. Port Authority buses were diverted to Secaucus Junction or Newark Penn Station, where commuters were moved to trains.

All lanes on the highway reopened around 7:45 a.m., but the bus diversions continued for an additional half hour.

Delays of up to an hour continued throughout the morning.
