Eyewitness NewsFORT LEE, N.J. (WABC) -- Authorities say the cars of four police officers investigating one suspected drunk river were struck by another early Monday in northern New Jersey.
The four Port Authority police officers were treated for neck and back injuries at Englewood Hospital and released.
Roach was taken into custody and charges are pending. Authorities say the officers had three police cars parked on the shoulder of Interstate 95 near the George Washington Bridge after stopping a suspected drunk driver a little after 4 a.m.
A vehicle driven by 40-year-old Omar Roach rear ended one of the cruisers, police said, causing a chain reaction of crashes into two other police vehicles.Roach was taken to Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck for treatment.
Charges against him are pending.
