Eyewitness NewsBARNEGAT, N.J. -- Police say a New Jersey Transit bus went out of control and crashed into the front porch of a southern New Jersey home after the vehicle's tires slipped off uneven pavement on a road under construction. Two passengers among the nine on board suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash Tuesday morning in Barnegat.
No other vehicles were involved.
The bus was headed to Lakewood from Atlantic City when the accident happened along Route 9 just after 6 a.m.Police said that the northbound lane of the road was 2? inches higher than the southbound lane due to an ongoing resurfacing project.
