Eyewitness NewsSOUTH ORANGE (WABC) -- Police in New Jersey are searching for suspects after a Seton Hall student was shot and another assaulted. The gunfire rang out in an off-campus apartment right next to police headquarters.
South Orange police are looking for a number of people, and they haven't been much more specific than that.
Officers received reports of shots fire just after 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Grove Terrace Apartments. Moments later, a student showed up at the station saying he'd been shot.During the investigation, authorities discovered that another student had been assaulted.
Both students are being treated at University Hospital in Newark for non-life threatening injuries.
Police are making it clear that the attack was not random, but no arrests have yet been made.
