Eyewitness NewsPLAINFIELD (WABC) -- Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a grocery store owner in Plainfield. The shooting happened just after 4:00 Saturday afternoon at the Leaty grocery store on East 6th Street.
Police found two people shot at the store.
One was the store owner, 47-year old Eduardo Leaty. The other was a person who worked at the store.Leaty was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Police say the wounded store worker is expected to survive.
