Man stabbed to death in Guttenberg grocery store

  Eyewitness NewsGUTTENBERG (WABC) -- Police are investigating a deadly stabbing in a Guttenberg grocery store owner in New Jersey Thursday.

Police say 52-year-old Bahar Nesim, of North Bergen, was attacked and stabbed multiple timeS by two armed robbers. Nesim was rushed to Palisades Medical Center at 5 a.m. and pronounced dead 45 minutes later.

Two suspects have been taken into custody. Police say 40-year-old Jose Castaing and his girlfriend, 32-year-old Liz Velez, were arrested minutes after the attack.

It is unclear if Nesim was the owner of the store or an employee.

Guttenberg police were flagged down by a civilian shortly after the incident.

Police say two knives were used in the attack.

It is also unclear how much money or what else was stolen.

The investigation is ongoing.
