Home invasion and robbery in North Haledon

  Eyewitness NewsNORTH HALEDON, N.J. (WABC) -- Police are searching for the suspects in a chilling home invasion and robbery in North Haledon, New Jersey.

It happened Thursday afternoon in a home on Saw Mill Road.

Police say the homeowner heard a knock on the door and when he responded, a man placed a gun to his head and forced him back into the home.

Two other men followed behind him, with all three armed with guns.

Police say the homeowner was bound, gagged and hit.

After ransacking the home, the robbers left the homeowner tied up in the basement and took off on foot.

The Passaic County Sheriff's Department responded, but so far there have been no arrests.
