Eyewitness NewsPERTH AMBOY, N.J. (WABC) -- A boating accident off of Perth Amboy, New Jersey led to a dramatic rescue on the water Saturday. A hospital spokeswoman confirms to Eyewitness News that one person died in the crash last night.
After a boat capsized, a couple arrived on the scene in their boat, and helped pull five people from the water.
"It was shallow water and I had to maneuver the boat in the shallow water," said one of the rescuers, David Gross.Four victims were taken to Perth Amboy General Hospital.
One of the victims was unconscious when they were all taken to the hospital.
Their names have not been released.
