Eyewitness NewsJERSEY CITY, N.J. -- One person was killed and another wounded when shots rang out in the parking lot of a northern New Jersey diner. But authorities say it's not yet known if the dead person was struck by a bullet.
Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio tells The Jersey Journal (http://bit.ly/LYrdxX) that the shooting occurred around 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
But it's not clear how many people may have been involved or what sparked the shooting.DeFazio says it appears that the person who was killed was struck by a vehicle in the diner parking lot.
But a cause of death has not yet been determined.
The wounded person was taken to a hospital, but further details on their injuries were not disclosed.
