Eyewitness NewsLONG HILL (WABC) -- Police in New Jersey have arrested a man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl.
Authorities say Mark Annis surrendered to the Long Hill Township Police Department Wednesday night.
Annis is charged for two separate incidents involving the same victim. The incidents allegedly occurred in August of 2011, when the victim was 8 years old, and in December of 2011 when the victim was 9. Police say one incident occurred in Rockaway Township and the other in Long Hill Township.
Annis is charged with three counts of sexual assault, one count of attempted sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. Bail was set at $125,000, with no 10 percent option, and Annis had to surrender his passport. He is not allowed to contact the victim or her family, and he is to have no contact with any children under the age of 16.Anyone with information is asked to contact the Morris County Prosecutor's Office Sex Crimes Unit at (973) 285-6200 or the Morris County Sheriff's Office Crime Stopper Program at (973) COPCALL.
